Pointpledge transfers donations to the PayPal Giving Fund, which is itself a 501(c)(3) (Federal Tax ID 45-0931286). Paypal Giving Fund collects donations from donors, along with those donors’ recommendations for the charities they’d like to see their donated funds support. Paypal Giving Fund is the charity of record for all donations they receive and grant 100% of the donated funds they collect to other causes, in accordance with their Donation Delivery Policy.
Local Schools
Pointpledge transfers fan donations directly to the school that you select. This requires us to verify the authenticity of the school and its account information prior to any transfer. In accordance with our Terms of Service, we are unable to transfer funds to a personal account. If we are unable to authenticate school and account information, we will return fans’ donations. School Administrators can request the transfer of donations here.
College Savings
Pointpledge transfers fan donations directly to the 529 college savings account that you select. This requires us to verify the authenticity of the account prior to any transfer. In accordance with our Terms of Service, we are unable to transfer funds to a personal account. If we are unable to authenticate account information, we will return fans’ donations.
